I really enjoyed watching this performance. I would have really liked to see more people performing and having them interact with the audience. The thought of having volunteers in the performance made it different than most of the performances that went on in todays class. The materials that the performers had to use were very unique and random. The objective of this performance was easier to figure out than most. The group members asked for three volunteers to approach the stage, look at the pictures of statues on the floor, and act them out in a pose (using the materials that they were given). I thought that this group chose to do this for their performance was to see how people react in a situation with unknown materials. Every person would have chosen something different, because we all interoperate things differently , especially art.

Critical Analysis for "Volunteer Preformance"
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed this preformance very much based on what was presented. I was kind of excited when I heard their intro. I always liked the power to personal freedom. Simply be allowed a creative attitude and allow your mind to depict small object and present them as something else.
I was honestly surprised what the volunteers had chose as their items. The first compared to the final preformance had chose almost completely different items but still portrait the same image given. The only thing that I would have done differently was either have more statues to choose from or let the volunteers do whatever they wished. Theres a good chance you would see something far more interesting with an open catagory like that.
In conclusion I beleive this was a very successfull performance and was very enjoyable, it even gave me a giggle. Any peice of work that brings forward an emotion is a successfull peice.
