Automata
With spring in the air, I was inspired to base the theme of my automata on the environment around me. My piece portrays a pinwheel, similar to one that may be found in a garden. Because of this, I used bright colors on the exterior of my automata in order to represent the beauty of springs floral abundance. Following this same idea, the interior of my piece has dark colors, mainly of which is green. This simply represents the rebirth of the green foliage as spring quickly replaces the layers of snow and ice, with the extraordinary variety of excellence provided by Mother Nature.
My automata is mainly constructed of cardboard. Other materials also include paper, wire, and wooden rods. My final product is very successful because it is attractive, and it also functions smoothly.

This piece was not only the most complicated but one of only a few that actually worked after all was said and done. This artist is not only a hard worker but a smart worker. I vote this one the best. Great job Briana you have a bright future ahead of you.
