Homework for Thursday 2/4/10
I just wanted to clarify what you are supposed to do for homework tonight:
Post the documentation of your performance only! You don't need to write the critical analysis of someone else's performance until after tomorrow (otherwise you would have to do it from memory, which would be almost impossible).
So, just post your performance with a title, 1-3 images and/or video. Make sure it is labeled with everyone's name who was in the group. Which means that after tonight you should have (4) - four posts to date - next to your name on the top right hand side of the blog. If you've already done a critical analysis, just don't post it yet (or delete that post if you've already put it up, but save the text for future reference).
I also noticed some of you have posted the same thing multiple times or have had included notes on your posts about uploading trouble. A blog post containing a link only is not acceptable. If you are having trouble, please see me after class tomorrow. If you need to delete posts, you can just click on the little pencil icon to edit them and then "save as draft". That way they will not appear on the blog anymore.
Please take care of these things so we can maintain the appearance of our blog.

Due Friday, January 29th
Sonic Postcard "Remix"
Must be posted on the blog as an embedded Youtube or Vimeo video. It should be 100 seconds long and not include any images. You should, however, use movie to make a title in the beginning (come up with an inventive name for your sound piece) and list the names of everyone in your group in the credits. When you post it, make sure you also label the post with everyone's name that was in your group.

If you haven't given it to Alicia already, please bring it to class on a jump drive.
Interesting found object
Michelle asked you to find an object that interests you. Bring that object to class tomorrow. Do not bring anything that is very important/expensive or that has sentimental value. We won't be altering the object in any way, but other people in the class will be "handling" it. Also bring your digital camera if you have one.
Fix your blog posts
Follow directions given in class today to fix your blog posts. Align all images to the left, make them "large" and make sure each post is labeled with your name.
Post your Sonic Postcard on the blog
This, like the remix, should be an embedded Youtube or Vimeo video. You can use your JPG image as the background for the sound clip (drag it into imovie as shown in class today).

a quick heads up
Start looking for an interesting object that you can use for a future assignment. No more clues, just make sure you really think it is cool. You might want to check REPO, the OP shop or second hand stores (Erie Line, Goodwill - Hornell, Why Buy New - Wellsville...)
